The Relationship Between Enzyme Function and Health

At the beginning of the 20th century, people discovered vitamins and then trace elements and minerals. Only in the mid-1980s did humans realize the importance of enzymes. Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine Arthur Kornberg said, "For our lives, we can no longer find other substances as important as enzymes in nature." Enzymes control the entire body, and when enzymes function abnormally, it kills humans.

People have such a question: why do many elderly people eat calcium, but cannot supplement it? The main problem is that it is not absorbed, which is caused by insufficient enzymes in the body. Due to the aging and disorders of the human body, some enzymes are missing and some are inactive, resulting in various chronic diseases and cancers.

Human life and death are related to enzymes, which determine our health and longevity. The most recent foreign survey shows that "enzyme deficiency" is the leading cause of death for health. All diseases, from cancer to the common cold, have a total cause of enzyme deficiency. When the level of enzymes in the body rises, the disease disappears. Conversely, lower enzyme concentrations can lead to illness and even deadly consequences.

Enzymes Have Many Effects on The Human Body.

Antibacterial Defense

White blood cells contain various enzymes that can promote the bactericidal effect of the fungus. In acute illness or inflammation, the white blood cell count will increase rapidly to fight foreign bacteria. The human oral cavity, the nasal mucosa, and the conjunctiva of the eyeball are all places where bacteria can grow easily. The enzymes in the saliva, nose, and tears of humans have the effect of bacteriolysis and sterilization, making people less likely to be infected by pathogens.

Pure Blood

Enzymes can break down waste products in the blood, keep the blood weakly alkaline and promote blood circulation. The metabolism of amino acids in the human body will produce harmful substances such as ammonia. If the concentration of ammonia in the blood is too high, people fall asleep and the enzymes in the body can convert ammonia into low toxicity. The urine is excreted from the body, if such an enzyme does not exist, the body is filled with harmful substances.

Thermal Energy

Due to the action of enzymes, the oxidation reaction can be performed at normal temperature to generate heat energy, and the heat energy can be stored and the heat energy can be released in time according to the needs of the body. The storage and use of these heat energies all depend on the action of enzymes.

Metabolism

The so-called metabolism is the degeneration of cells. Human cells have a life cycle. When cells age, necrosis must be renewed. However, the process of decomposing aging and necrotic cells and creating new ones is quite a big project, not a few. Enzymes can be completed, this must be done by division of labor and cooperation of different enzymes. During the cell manufacturing process, some enzymes are responsible for monitoring the operational status of various enzymes. The role of enzymes covers the entire cell production process.

Decomposition

When we chew rice, the starch in the rice is broken down into maltose or dextrin by the amylase in the saliva. At the same time, you will feel chewy and sweeter, which is the result of the improved enzyme breakdown. In addition, there are many digestive enzymes in the gastrointestinal tract that help digest and absorb nutrients. It can convert food into water-soluble substances, such as sugar in monosaccharides, proteins in amino acids and fat in fatty acids or glycerine, so that the body can absorb the use.

Oxidation

The first role of enzymes is the redox reaction. Oxidation is the process of combining a substance with oxygen to form an oxide, while reduction is the process of oxygen molecules disappearing into the oxide and returning to their original state. Enzymes are indispensable catalysts in this reaction process. Human respiration and a range of heat generation and metabolism are redox reactions.
